Kevin McLaughlin
Kevin also served his apprenticeship in Scotland. Kevin has managed Kelvin’s Louisville facility since it opened in 1991. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University where he was the captain of Pepperdine’s championship golf team.

 

Paul McLaughlin
Paul joined the family business in June of 2001. As with his brother, Paul has been around barrels all his life. Prior to joining Kelvin, Paul was an attorney with the international law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP. Paul received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard and his J.D. from Notre Dame.

 

William Hornaday
William joined the Kelvin Cooperage team in the summer of 2012. Before joining Kelvin, William received an economics degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. He currently serves as the General Manager. William can be reached at william@kelvincooperage.com

 

Britney Hupp
Britney joined the Kelvin Cooperage team in January of 2017 as Director of Sales and Marketing. Growing up along the Bourbon Trail in Bullitt County, Kentucky, she developed what would become a lifelong love affair with the area's signature spirits industry and a passion for marketing. Jenny Smith
Jenny was introduced to the Kelvin team in March 2017. After meeting the McLaughlin’s, she knew this would be a perfect fit, and became the Cooperage’s Export Manager. Jenny is a member of the Bourbon Women Association, and a Certified Bourbon Steward. During her free time, she enjoys photography, and traveling with her husband and three children. Clayton Younger
Clayton is Kentucky bred, and a graduate of WKU. He enjoys all that the state has to offer, especially bourbon, which made it an easy choice to join the team as plant manager in 2017. Sara Dowell
Sara joined the Kelvin Cooperage family in November 2017. As the Accounts Manager, customers and vendors can reach out to her for all A/R and A/P questions. She is a member of the Bourbon Women Association, and a Certified Bourbon Steward. Sara is an outdoor enthusiast who loves traveling with her husband Casey, and their dog Magnolia. Martin Purvis
Martin has worked in the whisky industry for more than 16 years with a focus on technical and commercial supply to malt and grain whisky distilleries. He was the Global Category manager for wood and used barrels at William Grant and Sons throughout the difficult years from 2013-2018 and increasingly focussed on cask quality, supply chain, maturation loss reduction and rejuvenation of exhausted wood. He has also worked as a buyer of rum, tequila and neutral spirit. In the last few years he was a board member for a leading Scottish grain merchant that supplies wheat and malting barley to the whisky industry. He has an MSc in Brewing and Distilling and an MBA with a focus on luxury brands, family business and organisational culture. He is a really good guy!!!
